There is so much more to say on this topic. One thing we do, Jews, is have eternal discussions. We don't need anything definitive--we don't even like definitive. I'm always amused when the Jehovah's witnesses show up and open up their Bibles and read the text as if it's definitive. So what I do, not recommended behavior, is try to explain to them how to read a sentence, that this is sentence has actually been the starting point of a 3000 year old discussion. Then they check their watches because they really have someplace to be right now and they're really sorry they have to cut the conversation short, oh damn time is really moving, as they scurry down the driveway, have a blessed day they say with the Doppler Effect being once again verified.
