Everything looks like a hammer

when you think you're the only nail around. 

Jewcy's strength is in its diversity. There are few places on the web where those of us that think that Israel needs to make a serious commitment to justice for its Arab population can converse with those of us that think that actually Israel is doing just fine, about such important issues as Amy Winehouse and temporary tattoos. There's value in having a space where you can talk only with people who already agree with you, but there's value in having a conversation about the things you can find uncontroversial with people whose other opinions you might despise.

So to the rightwingyding above, I say stay, hang out, and take a break from the political stuff. Talk about pop culture or spirituality or something else for awhile. Make friends with some of the Liberals (with a capital L, yet!) over trivialities and maybe you'll be able to hear each other better on issues of importance.
