Few things chill me more than the apparent ease with which these guys are happy to disgorge the most absurd and obvious lies. The contempt for their audience, the disregard of truth and authenticity as desirable human attributes....just disgusting. 

They don't see or don't care how corrosive this sort of thing is to the idea of citizenship, how it erodes hope and common cause, replacing them with even greater cynicism and indifference.
