About Andrew Foster Altschul
Andrew Foster Altschul is the author of the novel Lady Lazarus, published earlier this year. His short fiction and essays have appeared in Esquire, McSweeneyâs, Fence, One Story, and other publications, as well as anthologies including Best New American Voices and O. Henry Prize Stories. He is a frequent contributor to The Huffington Post and co-organizer of the Progressive Reading Series, a monthly literary event supporting progressive candidates for Congress. He lives in San Francisco and teaches in the graduate writing program at Mills College.
