Here are today’s top stories in no particular order:

 

  • Gossip blogger Perez Hilton had a little spat with rapper Will.i.am that led to a black eye for Hilton and an even bigger attack–from the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, accusing him of "vulgar anti-gay slurs." They called him intolerant of homosexuals. It must be difficult to be intolerant of yourself.
  • A pilot is dead after an F-16 crash at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. Captain George Bryan Houghton was 28.
  • Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are welcoming a set of twins through a surrogate. In keeping with SJP’s apparent like of long-ass names, the girls have been named Tabitha Hodge Broderick and Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick. I wonder if Tabby will be jealous of her sister for her three names.
  • Jon and Kate Plus Eight is now Kate Plus Eight as the couple files for divorce and Jon allegedly seeks out bachelor pads in New York City. I’m heartbroken. Really.

    I watched that show twice.  The first time was mostly to see the freakishly large abdomen of a woman who would birth 6 kids at once.

    The second time I saw it I couldn’t believe just how badly Kate treated her husband.  She was constantly needling him & "correcting" him on the most trivial stuff.  (BTW Kate, since you’re the self-appointed English diction critic, "our" is pronounced "hour", and not "are".)  When she decided to completely undermine her husband’s parenting in front of her kids by pulling them out of a (Jon-assigned) time-out, because "Daddy was being mean.", that was the last I could stomach of her.

    It’s too bad Jon decided to make the 6 more kids with her before filing for divorce.  And to think that she can’t even pretend to act like a nice person & show her husband, the father of her eight kids, some love & respect?!  It just makes me want to meet my husband, the father of our 3 little boys, at lunchtime today & offer him some personal services.

    Yes Ashley,  Jon & Kate is a shining example of how to drive your husband away & bastardize 8 innocent little kids.
