Philip Roth Helps Jews To Repeat Man Booker Awards

Philip Roth was announced as the Man Booker International Prize winner today, winning ÂŁ60,000, and being the second Jew in as many years to win a Man Booker, following Howard Jacobson’s capturing of an award for The Finkler Question.
Roth had this to say about the award (via GalleyCat):
“One of the particular pleasures I’ve had as a writer is to have my work read internationally despite all the heartaches of translation that that entails. I hope the prize will bring me to the attention of readers around the world who are not familiar with my work. This is a great honour and I’m delighted to receive it.”
Now all Roth has to do is capture a Nobel Prize, and he’s officially the Michael Jordan of Jewish writers.
